WA Festivals / Events

Fairbridge Festival Fairbridge Festival, a weekend-long, family-oriented celebration of quality folk, blues, acoustic, Celtic and world music in a safe, self-contained traffic-free bush setting - Fairbridge Village - with lots of fun for all the family!
The festival was rebadged in 2020 and promoted under the name 'Folk World Inc'. It struggled after Covid and lost the use of the Fairbridge Village site in 2023. After several years of cancellation it ran again successfully in 2026.

Nannup Music Festival. The 2022 Festival was cancelled but it has run successfully more recently. The Nannup Music Festival is set in the heart of the beautiful South West's jarrah forest, beside the Blackwood River on the Labour Day long weekend (late Jan/early Feb) each year. Nannup comes alive with performers from across the world and around Australia.

Nanga Music Festival Held annually in Spring, this relatively small festival ran for 16 years at Nanga Bush Camp; the 2024 event was split between Pinjarra and the Fairbridge Village site. In 2025 it will transfer to Fairbridge Village for the week-end festival

WA Dance Groups

Keszkeno Perth based Hungarian dance group.

Rodina Perth Bulgarian organisation which includes a dance group.

TACH Turkish Perth based Turkish Australian Culture House runs dance classes and has a performance group.

Lado Croatian Folkloric Ensemble of Western Australia Perth-based Croatian dance group     Lado's 30th year celebrations (2013)

Hora Shalom, one of the Perth based Israeli dance group - currently has no on-line promoted presence

WAFF WA Folk Federation - a Western Australian folk arts association.
